Board Gamers?

I've been asked if there's some sort of regular board-game playing club in Sheffield.

Is there one? I'm aware of plenty of RPG groups, but not boardgamers.

Due to demand we have temporarily halted Furnace registrations. We are checking the venue’s room availability on the 23rd September and will issue an update after then. Hopefully we will be able to accommodate some more people, so keep watching our website for more information.

Cheers

Furnace is starting to fill up

Sep. 14th, 2007 | 03:13 pm
posted by: gspearing in sheffield_gamer

Hi all,

This years, and our second ever Furnace looks to be filling rapidly. I believe this to be due to the positive buzz from 2006, which was a fun packed successful weekend of high quality gaming. We're a small and perfectly formed convention with a maximum of 70 places. With just over a month to go we have just crept over 50 sign-ups. I don't want to have to turn any one away from the door, so would strongly advise that if you are planning to join us, and especially if you have far to travel, then please register as soon as possible on our website here: http://www.rpgfurnace.com/?page_id=13.

There's still time to register, but if we are in danger of actually filling up completely then we'll communicate as widely as we can to let everyone know.

Full story and list of the games currently available can be found on the Tavern: http://tavern.zunder.org.uk/tav/viewtopic.php?t=1739

Hope to see some of you there.

Cheers

Graham

Great going, folks...

I'm putting my "moderator hat" on as I'm writing this, you might have noticed we had a recent post about the Furnace roleplaying convention - well, we don't any more. Some of the comments on the post were less than constructive and now the poster has removed the entry and left the community.

Can we try and be a bit more helpful to people in future, especially new users, and leave the bitchiness to the gaming tables, where it belongs.

Thank you.
